Privacy policy

This policy covers Quick Remote for Denon AVR and Bubblegum for HEOS by BITZEAL. BITZEAL never sells your data and never uses it for ads.

What the apps send

Both apps use Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics, so we can see which features are used and fix crashes. They send:

  • which screens and controls you use, and errors the app meets;
  • the model, the name and the id of the receivers and speakers the app connects to (the name is the one set on the device, which you may have chosen yourself);
  • the phone model, the operating system version, the app version and a random app-instance id made by Firebase;
  • an approximate location (country and region), which Google derives from the connection;
  • crash reports, with what the app was doing when it crashed.

We do not link this data to your name or e-mail address. Google processes it for us; see Google's privacy policy.

What stays with you

The apps talk only to the receivers and speakers on your own network. Your settings and saved devices stay on your phone.

If you sign a speaker in to your HEOS account in an app, your e-mail address and password go straight to the speaker. The app does not save them and does not send them anywhere else.

If you choose Send logs in the menu, the app opens an e-mail with its log for you to send. Nothing is sent unless you send it.

Purchases are handled by Google Play or the App Store. The app only asks the store whether it is unlocked.
